The Aggie Compass Basic Needs Center helps students by providing access to nutritious food and assistance applying for CalFresh and other social services. It also provides economic crisis resources, case management and immediate shelter and support for unhoused students.

The Ombuds Office is a confidential, independent, impartial and informal problem-solving and conflict management resource for all members of the UC Davis, UC Davis Health and UC ANR communities. The Ombuds can assist by listening to concerns, clarifying issues, identifying policies and resources and providing coaching and communication strategies.
Beyond crime prevention and law enforcement, the UC Davis Police Department provides safety and security services to UC Davis. UC Davis established an independent Police Accountability Board in 2014 — one of the first of its kind in the country. Students, faculty and staff serve on the board to review investigations of police conduct and make recommendations to the police chief.

The Student Health and Counseling Services (SHCS) unit provides medical and counseling services to all registered students regardless of insurance coverage. Additionally, mental health providers at Student Health and Counseling Services offer confidential counseling and are not required to report incidents of sexual violence to the university.
